Job summary

the company is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the deployment architecture for platform maturity. You will be embedded with engineering teams, optimise day-to-day delivery across the on‑premise estate, and shape our new Kubernetes platform to modernise how workloads are deployed and scaled.

This is a hands-on role with true autonomy over CI/CD pipelines, guardrails, and migration strategies, guiding engineering to ship value safely to production.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; teamwork is paramount.
• Strong experience with Ansible: roles, inventories, vault, idempotency.
• Comfortable with Docker and Docker Compose in production environments.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Strong scripting ability: Bash and Python.
• Experience with GitOps tooling: ArgoCD or Flux.
• Experience with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Alertmanager).
• Ability to think creatively within constraints and plan pragmatically.
• A methodical, security-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

• BAU & Platform Stability: maintain deployment health and runbooks; collaborate on incident response.
• Kubernetes: shape engineering workflows, standardize configurations, plan migrations, build CI/CD pipelines.
• Document deployment runbooks, manifest templates, and best practices for onboarding.
