The Senior Development Officer will assist the Director/Senior Head of Development to ensure the Association builds houses to the highest possible standard whilst ensuring value for money.

The Association

Radius Housing provides quality and affordable social housing in over 80 towns and cities throughout Northern Ireland. We provide a range of services, from sheltered housing for the over 55’s and general needs housing for families and single people, as well as specialist care and support facilities for the frail, elderly, people with dementia and learning disabilities and other complex needs.

We are one of the major developer of homes in Northern Ireland and build and release around 400 homes every year, both properties for rent, and for private sale.

Qualifications

To be shortlisted candidates need to provide evidence of the following as a minimum:

  • 2 years’ experience as a key development person, preferably with a HA, NIHE, local authority, HSC Trust, Developer or similar OR 5 years’ relevant experience as outlined above
  • Project management experience with ability to meet targets and manage a range of projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrable experience of carrying out feasibility studies, economic appraisals, project applications and overseeing programmes of audit compliance
  • Computer literate with experience of spreadsheets, constructing budgets and cost forecasts
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to read drawings and appraise and comment on same
  • A current full driving licence and access to a suitable form of transport* (*where an applicant indicates that a disability prohibits them from driving, this criterion will be waived at the shortlisting stage.)
