A leading defense contractor seeks a Senior Designer in Barrow-in-Furness. This hybrid role focuses on the design and development of Hull & Outfit capabilities for submarine projects. Candidates should have a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles and experience in high hazard industries. Proficiency in Siemens NX and Teamcenter is essential. Location: Barrow-in-Furness. (Hybrid - 2 days onsite per fortnight)
Salary: Negotiable Circa £37,091+ (Commensurate with skills and experience)

The purpose of this role is to support the design, successful roll out of Hull & Out elements of a digital transformation programme.
A key capability design position, the role will enable the detailed development and deployment of Hull & Outfit Capabilities for a new System of Work into BAE Systems Submarines, achieved through the development of the Siemens NX & Teamcenter CAD & PLM system. The associated delivered capabilities will enable the move within Submarines to: model based design, a digitally enabled lifecycle and the realisation of Submarines' aspiration to design, manufacture and transition into service our products at a significantly improved level of efficiency and pace.
