Job summary

A leading fintech company is urgently seeking a Senior Data Engineer to work remotely from the UK. This role involves building end-to-end data pipelines using Python, SQL, and cloud technologies like GCP and Databricks. The ideal candidate will have direct experience in investment or insurance, dealing with financial securities and actuarial outputs. This is a 6-month rolling contract with a negotiable rate outside IR35.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with financial securities, portfolio valuations, or actuarial outputs in investment, reinsurance, or life insurance environments.
• Build analytical pipelines and scalable data solutions using Pandas, NumPy, and SQL.
• Experience with GCP (BigQuery), DBT, and Databricks.

Responsibilities

• Work with actuarial and asset management datasets, building end-to-end data pipelines.
• Focus on large-scale financial data, automating processes, and integrating multiple data sources.
