Job summary

Turner & Townsend in the North East is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to advance within cost management for major infrastructure projects across transportation, utilities and highways. The role develops your operational and technical skills with strong training and progression opportunities.

You will be involved in cost monitoring, reporting, and collaborative efforts across client and contractor teams to ensure value delivery and governance adherence.

Qualifications

• Experience with contract management (NEC3, Option C preferred) and cost management.
• Strong procurement, reporting and forecasting capabilities.
• Ability to manage change, control budgets and drive value across the life cycle.
• Knowledge of value engineering and commercial matters in construction projects.
• Ideally degree qualified and membership with a professional body.

Responsibilities

• Establish professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Administer various contracts per project objectives and policies.
• Provide accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to budget.
• Manage cost variance, cash flow, and timely applications.
• Collaborate with client and contractor teams to deliver KPIs and objectives.
• Lead contract changes and governance adherence.
• Improve accuracy of forecasts and budgets.
• Provide commercial support to stakeholders.
• Negotiate final accounts; lead teams when needed.
