Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to join our North East team, delivering cost management on major infrastructure projects across transportation, utilities and highways. You will lead contract administration, cost forecasting, and reporting, while developing your career through training and qualification support.

You will establish strong client relationships, manage cost variances, and drive value engineering and governance with project teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with NEC3 contracts (Option C preferred).
• Strong cost management and contract administration skills.
• Experience in change control and project governance.
• Good knowledge of procurement methods and contract valuation.
• Ability to produce accurate cost reporting and forecasts.
• Collaborative approach with stakeholders and teams.
• Proven ability to identify and drive efficiencies across the project lifecycle.
• Experience with value management and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Establish professional client relationships across projects and programmes.
• Administer contracts and ensure alignment with project objectives and policies.
• Provide accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion.
• Monitor cost variance and contract cash flow; ensure timely applications.
• Collaborate with client and contractor teams to deliver KPIs and budgets.
• Lead contract change management and governance processes.
• Improve forecast accuracy and budget control.
• Provide commercial support across stakeholders and decisions.
• Negotiate final accounts and contribute to project closeout.
• Lead people and commissions as needed.
