Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to join our North East team, focusing on major infrastructure projects across transportation, utilities and highways. You will establish strong client relationships, manage contracts, monitor forecasts, and drive value engineering to ensure projects stay within budget and governance frameworks.

Qualifications

• Experience with contract management and NEC3, Option C preferred.
• Strong cost management and reporting capabilities.
• Understanding of procurement routes and value engineering.
• Degree in a relevant subject; professional membership preferred.
• Excellent collaboration and communication across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Establish professional relationships with clients and project teams.
• Administer contracts in line with objectives and policies.
• Provide accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to budget.
• Monitor cost variance, manage cash flow, and ensure timely applications.
• Collaborate with client and contractor teams to deliver KPIs and value engineering.
• Lead contract change and governance adherence; drive forecast accuracy.
• Communicate commercial insights to stakeholders and senior management.
• Negotiate final accounts and oversee commissions as needed.
