Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Manchester seeks a Senior Cost Manager to expand industry experience and advance within cost management on major infrastructure projects across transportation, utilities and highways.

You will develop both operationally and technically, with strong training and advancement opportunities in professional qualifications while delivering cost control, forecasts and value engineering across multiple programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience with NEC3 contract management is advantageous.
• Strong cost management capability across infrastructure projects.
• Ability to manage procurement, reporting and change control throughout the project life cycle.
• Ideally degree qualified and professional body membership.

Responsibilities

• Establishing professional relationships with clients, colleagues and project stakeholders.
• Administering contracts in line with project objectives and policies.
• Providing accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to budget.
• Proactively monitoring cost variance and contract cash flow with timely applications.
• Collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage KPI delivery and value engineering.
• Managing contract change effectively within governance and best practice.
• Driving forecast and budget accuracy improvements.
• Providing sound commercial knowledge to stakeholders.
• Ensuring final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
• Leading people and commissions as needed.
