Job summary

Turner Lovell is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial function on major utilities and civils projects across the UK. You will oversee cost management, forecasting, cash flow and project profitability.

Working with project managers, you will protect margins, manage risk, and provide timely commercial reporting to senior stakeholders, while ensuring alignment with business objectives. UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• 50m+ projects experience in power, utilities or civils.
• Experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts in infrastructure or civil environments.
• Proven ability to forecast costs and prepare cost-to-complete reports.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
• Chartered or Incorporated status, or working toward it is desirable.
• Professional accreditation with RICS, ICES or CIOB desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead all commercial activity across major utilities and civils projects.
• Set and manage project budgets, ensure costs stay within parameters.
• Lead valuation and cash-flow planning, including cost-to-complete forecasting.
• Produce accurate commercial reporting for senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project managers to align commercial and operational objectives.
• Provide clear financial updates to senior management and external stakeholders.
• Identify and manage commercial risk to protect profitability.
• Support delivery of projects against financial, quality and programme objectives.
