Job summary

Turner Lovell in the UK is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial performance on major power and infrastructure projects. You will report to a Managing QS and work with project teams from award through energisation on high-value contracts.

Candidates will bring NEC3/NEC4 experience, proven track record on infrastructure programs, and a Chartered or Incorporated status or working towards. A driving licence and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on high-budget infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts in infrastructure or civil environments.
• Experience producing detailed financial forecasts, cost reports and managing cash flow.
• Degree, HNC or HND in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
• Chartered or Incorporated status, or actively working towards professional qualification.
• Membership or accreditation with RICS, ICES or CIOB.

Responsibilities

• Leading tendering and bid submissions, including pricing, commercial assessments and review of contractual terms and conditions.
• Managing monthly valuations, applications for payment, variations, cost reports and CVRs across multiple high-value contracts.
• Managing subcontractor relationships, including procurement, negotiation of rates, assessment of applications and agreement of variations.
• Identifying commercial risks at an early stage and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Working closely with project managers and delivery teams to ensure commercial objectives remain aligned with project requirements.
• Providing accurate financial forecasting and effective cash-flow management.
• Supporting the development of junior Quantity Surveyors and contributing to a positive, high-performing commercial team.
