Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (North Wales) is seeking a Lead Server and Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead a team responsible for the availability, performance and security of core infrastructure services that support clinical and corporate systems.

You will drive technical leadership across server, storage, virtualization, backup, data centre technologies and infrastructure monitoring, delivering secure, cost‑effective solutions aligned with NHS ICT standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline is essential.
• Experience delivering infrastructure projects and migrations and managing major incidents.
• Ability to lead technical teams and ensure security, governance and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers supporting critical infrastructure services.
• Develop, manage and support server, storage, virtualization and data centre technologies.
• Lead infrastructure changes, service transitions and major incident response.
• Promote best practice in incident, problem, change and capacity management.
