Job summary

Teaching Vacancies in the United Kingdom is seeking an IT Infrastructure Leader responsible for designing, maintaining and developing the College's IT infrastructure, including cloud, servers, storage and backup platforms.

You will own infrastructure architecture, standards and documentation, manage disaster recovery and business continuity, provide third-line escalation, oversee suppliers, ensure security compliance, and mentor technical staff while liaising with contractors.

Qualifications

• IT networking qualifications and 5+ years in an IT-based role.
• Experience of project management across multiple disciplines.
• Knowledge of the current cyber security landscape.
• Experience of working in an education environment would be an advantage.
• A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
• A commitment to safeguarding and providing an excellent experience for students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, maintenance and development of the College's infrastructure.
• Own infrastructure architecture, standards and documentation.
• Manage cloud, server, storage and backup platforms.
• Own the disaster recovery and business continuity arrangements related to IT.
• Provide third-line technical escalation.
• Manage infrastructure suppliers and contractors.
• Ensure infrastructure compliance with security standards.
• Mentor and develop technical staff.
• Liaise with multiple third party suppliers and contractors.
