Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking an experienced IT professional to lead and manage core infrastructure services in Stoke-on-Trent. The post holder will own the resolution of complex technical issues and provide expert guidance to Trust staff, focusing on server, SAN and Cloud environments.

The role includes ensuring security, availability and data protection in line with Trust policies and NHS regulations, plus involvement in project delivery and infrastructure

Qualifications

• Own and close out BAU IT support tickets escalated from the service desk quickly.
• Lead on support, build, configuration and deployment of the Trust's server, SAN and Cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide authoritative IT professional advice and guidance to Trust staff.
• Investigate escalated infrastructure problems to minimise downtime, especially for clinical services.
• Ensure security, availability, storage, backup and retrieval of Trust data in line with IT Security Policy and GDPR/FOI.
