Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the ward 111 team.
We are a unit that comprises 28 beds and cares for patients under the specialties of ENT, Maxillofacial, Onco plastics and plastic surgery, general surgery, and ophthalmology.
We are looking for a senior clinical nursing assistant, band 3, with a caring nature and the skills to care for a complex group of patients, including those requiring tracheostomy and laryngectomy care. You should be motivated to complete competencies in this area of care. Previous caring experience and an understanding of the Proud to Care documentation and its importance in maintaining patient safety and quality are essential.
The role requires coverage over a 24-hour period, so the post holder must be able to work both night and day shifts, with night shifts being imperative.
You need to be able to prioritise your workload, work as part of a team, maintain professionalism, communicate effectively, and manage your time well.

Job details
The Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker should actively contribute to the health and well-being of patients, staff, and service users, communicating effectively with sensitivity and compassion. They should be able to work independently within their scope of nursing duties under the supervision of registered nurses. They should demonstrate sufficient skills and understanding to undertake delegated tasks according to UHNM procedures, guidelines, and policies. They will be required to perform both routine and specially identified tasks for which they have been trained and assessed as competent.
