A leading healthcare provider in Middlesbrough is seeking a motivated Clinical Support Worker to join its Cardiac Rehabilitation team. The successful candidate will assist in delivering high-quality care to patients following cardiac events and will have opportunities for professional development within the NHS framework.
Job summary
The cardiovascular care service has an opportunity for a motivated, flexible, and experienced Clinical Support Worker to join our established Cardiac Rehabilitation team at South Tees Hospitals.
We are a multidisciplinary team comprising Physiotherapists, Exercise Instructors, Registered Nurses, and Clinical Support Workers, providing Phases 1-4 of Cardiac Rehab to patients following cardiac events, treatments, surgeries, and management of heart failure.
Please note: If you do not have the qualifications or experience marked as essential for a Band 3 role, you will be appointed at a Band 2.
Band 2 requirements: Willingness to undertake relevant training and qualifications to develop into a Band 3 role.
Band 3 requirements: Numeracy and Literacy Level 2 or GCSE (A-C/4-9).

There is a clear framework for progression from Band 2 to Band 3, including the completion of relevant qualifications.
Main duties include assisting the Cardiac Rehabilitation team to deliver high-quality services in hospital and community settings within South Tees, including travel to community locations such as Hambleton and Richmond.
The successful candidate will ideally have healthcare experience; cardiology or cardiothoracic experience is advantageous. The role involves supporting all aspects of Cardiac Rehabilitation.
