Job overview
The successful applicant will be responsible for working alongside the SWMS clinicians and supporting patients at specific community venues across the areas we cover; they will also be required to provide cover at other venues. Please note, this may, occasionally, include evening cover at The James Cook Hospital or Friarage Hospital, Northallerton.
A day in the life of a Clinical Support Worker will include quick weight checks where they will be responsible for taking a weight of a service user and discussing this, along with any questions the service user may have. They will also run longer review appointments covering discussion of bariatric surgery and discussions about implementing advice given by the clinical team into the patients lifestyle.
The successful applicant will have previous experience of working in the NHS, and possess good written and verbal communication skills and be able to demonstrate excellent team working skills.
