Job Summary

This post will be based in The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, London. The successful candidate will be expected to work with professional colleagues and local managers in the efficient running of the Service. They will participate in the Trust's system of governance and audit, maintain their CME/CPD, and commit to the Trust's professional development activities. They will observe the Trust's agreed policies and procedures, drawn up in consultation with the profession on clinical matters, and follow the standing orders and financial instructions of the Trust.

Acute Gynaecology Unit (AGU) Rota
  • One weekend on call: 5-9pm Friday, 9am-9pm Saturday & Sunday.
  • Four weekday evening on call: 5-9pm, the day can differ per week.
Eligible Candidates
  1. Post CCT obstetrics and gynaecology trainee who wants to develop their clinical and surgical skills prior to applying for a consultant post.
  2. Any Obstetrics and Gynaecology trainee at ST6-7 or equivalent level of training who wishes to complete a Special Interest Training Module (SITM) in benign gynaecology.
  3. Any overseas Doctor within or outside the EEA wishing to pursue further specialist training in benign gynaecology. The Doctor must be eligible to work within the UK and must have completed training in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology equivalent to ST 6-7 level or above. The Doctor must hold the MRCOG or equivalent qualification.
