Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for our Energy unit in the UK. You will lead Civil/Structural design for power generation, HV substations, and cable projects, delivering FEED, drawings, and specifications while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

We value leadership, proposal writing, cost estimation, and proactive problem solving. A Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil/Structural Engineering is required; a PE license is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Advanced structural engineering knowledge including load-bearing capacity and design codes.
• Proficiency in SAP2000 and ETABS for modeling complex structures.
• Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) in project delivery.
• Ability to lead structural engineering projects and manage FEED activities.
• Strong proposal writing and cost estimation skills.
• Design coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
• Attention to detail in drawings for planning and tender packages.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
