Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join a forward-thinking international engineering consultancy on a fully remote basis. The role targets a seasoned professional residing in South Africa, handling design, planning, and oversight of diverse civil infrastructure projects with international teams.

You will lead projects from feasibility to construction support, ensure compliance with South African standards, and mentor junior engineers in a remote team.

Formación

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent degree.
• Professional registration as Pr. Eng. with ECSA is essential.
• Minimum of 9 years progressive civil engineering experience.
• Experience in infrastructure design and project management.
• Proficiency in civil design software like Civil 3D/AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of SA infrastructure standards and procurement processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design and development of civil infrastructure projects (roads, water, sanitation).
• Manage project lifecycles from feasibility to construction support.
• Ensure designs comply with South African standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with clients and multinational teams in a remote setting.
• Review technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Provide technical guidance on complex engineering challenges.
• Oversee QA/QC for design deliverables.
• Contribute to proposals and business development.
• Mentor junior engineers in the remote team.
