You will lead geotechnical site investigations, oversee lab testing, interpret data, and produce comprehensive reports for diverse construction projects across South Africa. The role requires a Master’s in Geotechnical Engineering, Pr.

Eng. with ECSA, and 7–9 years of field experience. You’ll manage field teams, ensure QA/QC, and communicate with clients remotely, offering strong autonomy and flexible work

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.).
• 7-9 years of relevant experience in geotechnical site investigations and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and supervise geotechnical site investigations, including drilling, trial pits, and in-situ testing.
• Oversee the execution of laboratory testing programs for soil and rock samples.
• Interpret geotechnical investigation data and prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports.
• Provide expert advice on foundation design, slope stability, and earthworks for various projects.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and client communications for geotechnical investigations.
• Ensure adherence to quality control and health & safety protocols during site investigations.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to address geotechnical requirements.
• Mentor and guide junior geotechnical engineers and technicians involved in site investigations.
• Stay updated on best practices and advancements in geotechnical engineering field practices and reporting.
