Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer for a fully remote role. You will oversee civil construction activities remotely, interpreting drawings, monitoring progress and quality, and ensuring safety and environmental compliance across multiple projects.

This position demands strong leadership and digital collaboration skills. You will collaborate with site teams, review method statements, and support reporting and planning efforts, contributing to major infrastructure projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in civil construction site supervision and project execution.
• Proven track record of managing construction projects with knowledge of construction methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations in construction.
• Experience with project management software and digital collaboration tools.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities for remote teams.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr. Eng. or Techni Eng.) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical guidance and oversight for site-based civil construction activities.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Monitor construction progress and quality, reporting findings and recommendations through digital channels.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations on all project sites.
• Collaborate with site managers, foremen, and subcontractors to resolve construction issues.
• Manage the implementation of quality control and assurance procedures.
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and site-specific work plans.
• Assist in the preparation of progress reports, site instructions, and variation orders.
• Coordinate with design engineers and consultants to address site queries and design clarifications.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs and inspection records.
• Support the project management team in achieving project milestones.
