Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Principal Civil Engineer to provide technical leadership across projects from due diligence to detailed design and construction support. You will help grow the civil engineering capability, manage client relationships, and guide multidisciplinary teams in the UK and overseas.

You will act as an ambassador for the firm, delivering technical excellence and governance, mentoring engineers, and coordinating with ground, structural, electrical and environmental

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE or equivalent) or operating at chartered level with leadership authority.
• Significant development-led infrastructure experience; data centre sector experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic civil engineering leadership and governance across development projects.
• Lead, review and approve civil infrastructure designs including roads, drainage and utilities.
• Coordinate with cross-discipline teams across the UK and globally.
• Support client engagement, business development and sector thought leadership.
• Undertake project management responsibilities across a portfolio of schemes.
