Job summary

CBSbutler is seeking a Senior Cisco Unified Communications Engineer to support and maintain critical telephony and video conferencing infrastructure within a major defence environment. The role is based in Stevenage and requires Active SC clearance.

You will troubleshoot complex incidents, manage CUCM, Unity Connection, Jabber, Webex and related technologies, and contribute to technical documentation and knowledge transfer across operations teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with Cisco CUCM, Unity Connection and Jabber in enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to manage Cisco Webex and video conferencing tech.
• Strong understanding of SIP and H.323 protocols in real-world networks.
• L2/L3 troubleshooting across enterprise Cisco telephony systems.
• Knowledge of Cisco voice gateways and related telephony infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot Level 2 and 3 incidents in Cisco telephony and video platforms.
• Maintain and support CUCM, Unity Connection and Jabber deployments.
• Manage Cisco Webex, TMS and Pexip video systems and configurations.
• Investigate SIP/H.323 connectivity issues and fixes.
• Support and implement infrastructure changes and projects.

Senior Cisco Unified Communications Engineer

Rate: £515 per day inside IR35

Contract: 4-month rolling

Location: Stevenage

Active SC clearance is required for this role

We're looking for a technically strong Cisco Unified Communications Engineer to support and maintain critical telephony and video conferencing infrastructure within a major defence environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and resolving complex Level 2 and Level 3 incidents across Cisco telephony and video conferencing infrastructure.
• Supporting and maintaining Cisco Unified Communications environments, including CUCM, Unity Connection, Jabber and Cisco IP Phones.
• Managing and supporting Cisco Webex and video conferencing technologies, including TMS and Pexip.
• Investigating and resolving SIP and H.323 connectivity and configuration issues.
• Supporting hardware and software requests, infrastructure changes and ongoing technical projects.
• Maintaining technical documentation, operational procedures and knowledge bases.
• Providing technical guidance and knowledge transfer to wider operations teams.
