Job summary

SP Energy Networks, part of the Iberdrola group, is seeking a Lead Engineer – Circuits Risk in Glasgow to shape Scotland's transmission asset risk strategy. The role sits in the Asset Strategy team and involves directing investment priorities, risk programs, and asset performance targets.

The candidate will coordinate across engineering and delivery teams, ensure regulatory alignment, and contribute to a Net Zero 2044 objective with extensive leave and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Chartered membership of the IET or working towards this qualification.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic long-term asset risk plans for the transmission network.
• Shape maintenance strategies for transmission overhead line assets.
• Develop condition assessment strategies for overhead line assets.
• Ensure investment strategy is justified in line with Ofgem reporting requirements.
• Manage a network and asset assurance framework.
