SSE is seeking experienced engineering leaders for onshore transmission roles in Scotland, to drive delivery of major infrastructure projects from development to handover. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, manage risks, and ensure safety and compliance throughout the lifecycle.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree (Chartered desirable) with proven leadership in electrical transmission or related regulated environments, and strong communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, Chartered status desirable or progression towards professional registration.
• Experience delivering engineering solutions within electrical transmission or regulated environments.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring engineering teams and growing engineering capability.
• Strong technical judgement, risk management and prioritisation skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring the right capability and resources are in place to deliver safe, high-quality engineering solutions.
• Drive engineering excellence, innovation and sound engineering practice throughout the project lifecycle, identifying and managing technical risks and opportunities.
• Promote safety culture through Safety by Design and CDM compliance.
• Ensure engineering specifications and deliverables meet project and network requirements.
• Build relationships with project teams and stakeholders to influence decisions and keep engineering central to delivery.
