Job summary

Chefs for Chefs are seeking a senior Chef De Partie to join a fantastic Hotel group in York City Centre. The 4* property has 143 bedrooms and recently refurbished kitchens, with the head chef enjoying full menu control and strong supplier links.

The role offers a 40-hour week over five days, flexible shifts, and a salary of £18,000-£20,000 per annum plus hotel benefits. This is an excellent chance to progress within a growing hotel group in York.

Qualifications

• CDP experience preferred, though a strong demi may be considered.
• All fresh food background is a must.
• Ideally from a similar hotel background.
• Excellent time keeping and personal skills.
• Confident and capable of adapting to varied shifts.
• Driven to succeed and develop as part of the company.
• Professional and approachable at all times.
• Conference and banqueting experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for your designated section.
• Assist the senior chefs with the day to day running of the kitchen.
• Adopt and maintain the kitchens’ hygiene and food safety protocols.
• Ensure the consistency of the produce is in line with the head chefs’ standards.
• Assist across all sections of the multi outlet kitchen-restaurant, weddings, c+b etc.
• Train and develop the junior members of the team.
• Work closely with head chef to benefit your career.
