University of York seeks a dedicated Chef de Partie to uphold top catering, hygiene and safety standards within busy production kitchens. This fixed-term role supports high-volume operations across multiple sites, with a focus on consistency and quality.

The successful candidate will work a 37-hour week on a 5 over 7 pattern, with time off in lieu or overtime as arranged. A strong, flexible chef with City & Guilds NVQ2 or equivalent is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with fresh food and high-volume catering.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends when required.

Responsabilités

• Maintain high standards of catering, hygiene and health & safety in busy production kitchens.
• Contribute to across-site operations and develop culinary skills under senior chefs.
• Follow shift patterns with consistent start/mid/evening times; time off in lieu or overtime as applicable.
