A residential care provider in Wells is seeking a Senior Carer to lead a team, administer medication, and support resident care plans. Job summary. This is a Senior Carer role in a Barchester Healthcare residential care home. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of care staff, administering and ordering medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans, and liaising with healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care. The role offers opportunities for career development through ongoing training and the chance to progress into roles such as Care Practitioners, Care Community Leads, or nursing pathways.
The successful candidate will have NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care to join us as a Residential Senior Care Assistant. You will have previous experience in a residential care setting along with proven team leadership skills and the ability to make appropriate decisions to support the needs and wellbeing of residents. We are looking for warm-hearted, compassionate and committed individuals who will provide individualized care and support. There are ongoing training opportunities for career development; many Senior Carer Assistants progress into Care Practitioners, Care Community Leads or nursing pathways.
As this is a Bank position, to provide cover as needed (annual leave or sick leave), hours and days will vary. We are particularly looking for nights cover availability.
