Job summary

St Philip's Care is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for Burntwood Hall Care Centre. You will support the Home Manager, lead a team of care workers, ensure high standards of resident care, and promote dignity and independence for residents.

You will participate in care planning, monitor changes in residents’ conditions, and assist with daily living activities. A relevant qualification and experience in elder care are preferred, with mandatory training provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 / MA L3 in Health and Social Care or working towards it.
• Previous experience as a senior in a Residential Care or Nursing Home.
• A Passion for Care of the Elderly.
• Experience of Medication Administration.

Responsibilities

• Support the Manager in the overall management of the home.
• Assume responsibilities of the Manager in their absence and promote person-centred care.
• Lead, develop and coordinate a team of care workers to maintain residents' dignity.
• Maintain care plans and appropriate medication delivery for assigned residents.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safe working practices.
• Attend mandatory training and contribute to staff development.
