Job summary

St Philip's Care Group is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant for Burntwood Hall Care Centre. You will support residents with daily living activities, promote independence, and follow care plans to ensure consistent, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of care work in a Hospital, Care or Nursing Home.
• A Passion for Care of the Elderly
• NVQ2 / SVQ2 or QCF level 2 in Health and Social Care or Care
• Understand and respect client confidentiality.
• Move and handle residents safely and assist with daily hygiene.
• Read and act on Care Plans to ensure continuity of care.
• Attend mandatory training and fulfill professional development requirements.

Responsibilities

• Understanding and providing the requirements for 'normal' health and insight into effects on the client and family.
• Assist the client in daily care tasks they would normally undertake.
• Participate in holistic caring activities.
• Care for all clients’ needs with aim of optimising independence.
• Read and act on Care Plans for continuity of care.
• Respect individual confidentiality.
• Move and handle, dress, and assist with daily hygiene and dressing needs.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition.
• Report hazards or unsafe equipment to senior staff.
• Attend in-service training as part of staff development.
