Job summary

St Philip's Care is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead day-to-day care at Belmont Care Centre, covering days and nights on a bank basis. You will supervise a team of care workers to deliver high-quality, person-centred care while maintaining residents' dignity and independence.

You will support the Home Manager, act in their absence, and ensure safe, confidential handling of medications, moving and handling, and daily living tasks. Training and flexible shifts are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ/MA L3 in Health and Social Care or working towards it.
• Senior care experience in a residential or nursing home.
• Passion for elderly care and medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and co-ordinate a team of care workers to provide high standards of care.
• Assist the Home Manager in overall management of Belmont Care Centre.
• Act in the Manager's absence and ensure residence rights are respected.
• Promote person-centred care and maximise residents' independence.
• Maintain care plans and safe medication delivery for a group of residents.
• Attend mandatory training and ensure policy compliance.
