Job summary

St Philip's Care is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for Days & Nights Bank at Whim Hall Care Centre. You will lead, develop and coordinate a team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care, while upholding residents' dignity and independence.

The role supports the Manager, steps in during their absence, and ensures care planning, medication administration, and compliance with policies. Training, induction, and opportunities to progress are provided in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 / MA L3 in Health and Social Care or working towards it.
• Previous experience as a senior in a Residential Care or Nursing Home.
• A passion for care of the elderly.
• Experience of Medication Administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and coordinate a team of care workers to provide high standards of care.
• Support the Manager in the overall management of the home.
• Assume responsibilities of the Manager in their absence.
• Encourage person-centred care and maximise residents’ independence.
• Maintain care plans and ensure appropriate medication delivery.
• Uphold residents’ right to confidentiality and dignity.
• Assist with moving and handling and daily hygiene tasks.
• Observe changes in residents’ condition and report to the Manager.
• Attend in-service training and ensure compliance with policies.
