Job summary

St Philip's Care is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for Cathedral Care Centre in the UK to support the Manager in running the home and to lead a team of care workers with dignity and person-centred care. The role focuses on promoting residents’ independence and wellbeing, while maintaining confidentiality and high standards of safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Assistance in delivering normal health care with sensitivity to clients and family.
• Experience as a senior in a Residential Care or Nursing Home preferred.
• Demonstrated passion for elder care and well-being.
• Experience with Medication Administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and coordinate a team of care workers to meet residents’ needs.
• Support the Manager in overall home management and in their absence.
• Ensure residents’ rights, dignity and person-centred care with maximum independence.
• Maintain care planning, recording and confidentiality for designated residents.
• Assist with daily living activities and personal care, including mobility and hygiene.
• Observe changes in residents’ condition and report hazards or equipment issues.
• Attend mandatory training and ensure care delivery complies with policies.

Education

NVQ 3 / MA L3 in Health and Social Care or working towards it
