Job summary

St Philip's Care in Chilton is seeking a Senior Care Assistant (Bank) to lead, develop and coordinate a team of care workers, ensuring the highest standards of care and residents' dignity. You will support the Manager, cover in their absence, and promote person-centred care to maximise residents’ independence.

You will oversee daily care tasks, contribute to care planning and training, and ensure compliance with policies. A passion for elderly care and relevant experience are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 / MA L3 in Health and Social Care or working towards it.
• Previous experience as a senior in residential care or nursing home.
• Passion for elderly care.
• Experience with medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of care workers to deliver high-quality care.
• Support the Manager in the home’s overall management.
• Promote residents' participation in care planning.
• Maintain confidentiality and dignity of residents.
• Handle moving and handling and daily hygiene tasks.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition.
• Attend mandatory training and keep policies up to date.
