Overview

Senior Care Assistant role at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The role involves supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The successful candidate will have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, 2 years' experience in a similar care environment, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, creating a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, note changes impacting care and care plans, ensure new needs are met, and amend written records to reflect variations.
  • Be involved in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Support residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertake staff supervisions and support staff with their development where required.
  • Act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, and health and social care professionals; respond to reasonable requests and escalate concerns or complaints as needed.
