Job description
Overview

This is a full-time role working night shifts, 44 hours per week. Full flexibility is required.

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC-One, Kindness will be at the core of everything you do. You will help deliver care across our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, ensuring residents are treated with dignity and independence. You will lead a team of Care Assistants and work closely with a Registered Nurse and the Care Manager to provide high-quality, person-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement the kind of care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence.
  • Get to know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans.
  • Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care, influencing the team to achieve excellent care outcomes.
  • Support residents in daily living activities, including assisting with mobility aids, meals, and communicating with families.
  • Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities; assist with administering medication as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and build strong working relationships with the team.
  • Contribute to person-centered care planning and support safeguarding and quality governance processes.
Qualifications
  • Ideally, a Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Care and willingness to work toward Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • Background in person-centered care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills; the ability to be kind, considerate, and respectful in all interactions.
  • Strong record-keeping ability and the capability to work well with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Positive energy and a natural ability to get along with people.
  • Safeguarding awareness; willingness to undertake safeguarding training and related mandatory training.
