Job summary

Ridgeway Lodge Care Home in Dunstable is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to guide and support the team in delivering safe, person-centred care. You will be responsible for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised and delivered to a high standard.

You will oversee medication administration, monitor residents’ wellbeing and maintain accurate records, while communicating with families and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (minimum).
• Medication administration training with competency is essential.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.

About Ridgeway Lodge Care Home

Ridgeway Lodge Care Home is a welcoming care home located in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £13.85 to £14.45 per hour
• Contracted to 33 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (minimum)
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
• Strong communication and leadership skills
