Job summary

Penrose Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, in Biggleswade, is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to provide person-centred care for up to 65 residents.

The role covers personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, with full training and ongoing development. A supportive team environment helps residents feel respected, safe and valued.

Qualifications

• Care experience is beneficial but not essential.
• NVQ Level 2 desirable or willingness to work towards.

Job description

Situated in the residential area of Kings Reach in the market town of Biggleswade, our private, luxury care home offers several types of care for up to 65 residents.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.00 per hour + enhanced overtime rate + free lunches
• Contracted to 22-44 hours per week - Part or full time hours available
• Paid DBS pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
