Job summary

Amberley Care Home is seeking a Senior Care Assistant in Sale to guide a care team and deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care for residents in a 72-bed home. You will help organise shifts, monitor wellbeing, and oversee medications while maintaining thorough care records.

Successful candidates will demonstrate NVQ qualifications, medication competency, and strong communication and leadership abilities, with a caring, professional approach and willingness to work alternate weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, with Level 3 desirable
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Caring, compassionate and professional approach

Responsibilities

• Oversee the smooth running of your shift and ensure high standards of care
• Deliver hands-on care and monitor residents' wellbeing
• Oversee medication administration and maintain accurate records

Job description

Our luxury care home is situated in the beautiful, historic town of Sale, offering Residential, Dementia & Respite care for 72-residents.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £13.71 per hour
• Contracted to 44 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.

We Are Looking For

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
