About you

You are a knowledgeable and proactive health and safety professional with at least three years’ experience advising on health and safety matters, ideally within a residential or built environment context. You’ll bring strong expertise in risk assessment, incident investigation, fire safety, and compliance frameworks, coupled with a good understanding of building construction, hazards, and operational safety practices.

A confident communicator and trusted advisor, you can influence and support a wide range of stakeholders—from residents and housing staff to senior management and external agencies such as the Building Safety Regulator and Fire Service. You’ll be someone who thrives on complexity, with the ability to analyse issues, propose solutions, and see projects through to completion.

Holding a NEBOSH Level 3 Diploma (or equivalent) and preferably professional membership (e.g., IOSH, IIRSM, CIOB), you understand the value of continuous professional development and keeping ahead of legislative changes. With a hands‑on, visible presence across housing stock, you’ll be physically capable of inspecting all areas of buildings and ready to respond flexibly, including outside normal hours, when needed.

If you’re passionate about building safety and want to make a real difference in social housing, we’d love to hear from you.
