Jewson is expanding its team in Chichester and seeks a Senior Sales Advisor who thrives on delivering excellent service and building lasting customer relationships. You will understand product lines, support customers face to face and by phone, and work to grow sales in the local market.

Qualifications

• In depth knowledge of building materials, construction-related products and the merchant industry, including local market dynamics.
• Strong ability to interpret data and commercial metrics (margin, pricing, conversion rates, sales forecasting) to improve performance.
• Team player with a desire to succeed and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Get to know our product lines and services to maximise customer interactions.
• Develop relationships with new and existing customers face to face and over the phone, understanding needs and offering proactive advice and solutions.
• Support plans for sales growth by understanding the local market.
• Use in-house systems to process orders, organise delivery times and keep customers updated.
• Maximise customer interactions to achieve sales and profit targets through upselling and cross-selling relevant products.
• Get to know suppliers and look for opportunities to improve product knowledge.
• Develop and implement strategies to grow sales, set objectives for the team and leverage our solutions.
