Job summary

Jewson, part of STARK Building Materials UK, invites applications for a Senior Sales Advisor in the Chichester area. You will build relationships with customers, understand their needs, and provide proactive product advice to deliver excellent service.

You'll develop knowledge of our product lines, use in-house systems to process orders, and contribute to sales growth through upselling and cross-selling while enjoying a discretionary bonus and generous staff benefits.

Qualifications

• In depth knowledge of building materials, construction-related products and the merchant industry.
• Experience with meeting/exceeding sales targets.
• Strong customer service mindset and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Get to know product lines and services to maximise customer interactions.
• Develop relationships with new and existing customers face-to-face and by phone, understanding their needs and offering proactive advice.
• Know the local market to support plans for sales growth.
• Use in-house systems to process orders, organise deliveries and keep customers updated.
• Maximise interactions to hit sales and profit targets through upselling and cross-selling.
• Get to know suppliers and identify opportunities to improve product knowledge and offerings.
• Develop and implement strategies to grow sales, set team objectives and leverage solutions like Project Estimator and Tool Hire.
