Job summary

Jewson in Chichester is seeking a Senior Sales Advisor to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales in a busy trade counter environment. You will build product knowledge, nurture relationships with customers, and support growth plans in the local market.

The role requires experience in sales, a proactive approach, and the ability to use our in-house systems to manage orders and deliveries. A discretionary bonus and generous staff benefits are included.

• In depth knowledge of building materials and merchant industry.
• Strong understanding of margins, pricing, and sales forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Get to know product lines and services to maximise customer interactions.
• Develop relationships with new and existing customers face to face and by phone.
• Understand local market to support sales growth plans.
• Use in-house systems to process orders, organise deliveries, and keep customers updated.
• Maximise interactions to achieve sales and profit targets via upselling and cross-selling.
• Learn suppliers and seek opportunities to improve product knowledge.
• Develop strategies to grow sales and set objectives for cross selling and using project tools.
