Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an Associate / Associate Director to provide technical leadership for our bridge and civil engineering design and assessment projects across the UK and overseas. You will mentor junior staff and drive delivery to quality, time, and budget.

You will lead design teams, manage resources, develop client relationships, and take an active role in tenders and bids, while upholding high standards of technical review across multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer with relevant UK/overseas project experience.
• Experience delivering bridge/Civil design and assessment projects to time and budget.
• Knowledge of design standards and ability to mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership of bridge/civil design and assessment projects in the UK and overseas.
• Lead project reviews and coordinate multi-disciplinary inputs.
• Manage resources and develop relationships with other teams.
• Agree fees and manage the commercial position on projects.
• Lead a culture of technical review and challenge.
• Develop client relationships and lead tenders/bids.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members.
