Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior/Principal Engineer in civil and bridge engineering to drive delivery of projects with a focus on quality, time, and budget. You will mentor junior staff and contribute to a diverse portfolio of UK and international bridge work.

The role offers hybrid working in the UK, with a broad pipeline across rail and highways and opportunities to work with HS2, Network Rail, and Local Authorities. Chartered status and strong design/leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer with proven bridge design experience.
• Experience in design, maintenance, assessment and strengthening of bridges and civil structures.

Responsibilities

• Bridge design, both in the UK and overseas.
• Bridge management and strengthening/repair; inspections and assessments.
• General civil and structural engineering support to other teams; feasibility studies and option appraisals.
• Preparation of fee estimates; supervision of junior team members.
