Job summary

Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust in Bath is seeking a Senior Booking Co-ordinator to join our team. This full-time role (37.5 hours, 9-5) focuses on booking operations for patients and coordinating with clinicians to ensure timely treatment within targets.

You will negotiate with clinicians and patients, manage waiting lists, and communicate decisions to consultants, managers, theatres and nursing staff. Full training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer/patient focused environment.
• Confidentiality awareness.
• Ability to use computer software to develop operating lists.
• Experience dealing with patients or customers over the phone or in person.
• Ability to work under pressure and use initiative.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full and comprehensive service to ensure elective patients are admitted efficiently for surgery within national guidelines and the Trust’s Patient Access Policy.
• Effectively manage waiting lists and communicate decisions to Consultants, Managers, Theatres and Nursing Staff.
• Maximise Trust resources through clear communication and coordination.
