M-KOPA is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to scale its Mobility platform. You will design and build event-driven microservices using C# .NET, with Azure and other cloud tools, and own services from concept to production monitoring.

This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract with potential extension, fully remote across UTC -1 to UTC +3. You will work in a fast-growing team, leveraging Kubernetes, Docker, and modern DevOps practices, and integrating AI coding tools to accelerate delivery,

Qualifications

• Strong grasp of C# .NET development.
• Experience with event-driven systems such as Service Bus, Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Microservices architecture experience.
• Experience with Azure or other cloud providers (AWS or GCP).
• Familiarity with containerisation/orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Testing and deployment in production environments.
• DevOps culture mindset and IaC practices.
• Experience with AI coding tools (Claude Code or similar).
