M‑KOPA in the Asset Sales group is hiring a permanent Senior Backend Engineer to help scale our FinTech platform. You’ll build distributed, event-driven C#/.NET microservices on Azure and own features end-to-end—from idea through deployment to production—while shaping AI-native engineering at scale.

This fully remote role works across GMT hours with teams in the UK, Europe and Africa. You’ll collaborate, observe system health with Grafana and App Insights, and continuously improve reliability,

Qualifications

• Strong grasp of C# and .NET development.
• Experience with event-driven systems (Azure Service Bus or similar).
• Microservices architecture experience on Azure and Kubernetes.
• Experience using observability tooling (Grafana, Application Insights).
• Comfort using AI tools as part of daily engineering workflow.
• DevOps culture with on-call/production ownership.
• Proven ability to collaborate in distributed teams across time zones.
• Continuous learning mindset and openness to feedback.
