Job summary

M-KOPA Mobility is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to scale our growing e-mobility platform. You will develop event-driven microservices in C#/.NET, deployed to Azure, with Kubernetes and Docker, ensuring robust production readiness and observability.

The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract with potential extension or permanent transition. You’ll work remotely across UK, Europe, and Africa, contributing to a mission-driven, climate-impact project.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in C# .NET development.
• Experience with event-driven microservices and messaging systems such as Service Bus, Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud and containerised deployments (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Hands-on with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Build sophisticated event-driven microservices with end-to-end ownership.
• Collaborate across teams to design, deploy and monitor services in production.
• Work in a fully remote setup across UTC time zones and support Africa-focused mobility platforms.
