Job summary

UBDS Group's Rayo seeks a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to own design, build and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for complex, regulated environments.

You’ll lead CI/CD pipelines with GitLab/GitHub, use Terraform and Kubernetes, mentor engineers and set engineering standards while engaging with clients and architects.

This hands-on senior role requires strong AWS, DevSecOps, scripting and a track record of delivering reliable cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on AWS design, build and operate experience.
• Proven ability to design and manage CI/CD pipelines at scale.
• Strong Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Deep Kubernetes knowledge for containerised workloads.
• Security-by-design and DevSecOps experience in delivery lifecycles.
• Experience guiding engineers and influencing architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, build and evolution of secure AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Design and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or GitHub.
• Own IaC approaches with Terraform to ensure repeatable environments.
• Define engineering standards, patterns and best practices across teams.
• Embed automation across build, test, deployment and ops workflows.
• Apply DevSecOps throughout the delivery lifecycle and mentor peers.
• Design, deploy and operate containerised workloads with Kubernetes and AWS ECS/EKS.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to explain decisions and recommendations.
• Provide technical leadership during complex troubleshooting and delivery.
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering practices, reliability and efficiency.
